He would try to save the world and people wouldn't believe him and make things harder. In this book Jason went full " I am not human anymore and I don't give a shit". All the talk about needing family to keep him human is gone. All the family and friends he built up in the last 2 books were missing in this book. It took a long time to get through that and it was a bit of a slog. He gets new powers but nothing interesting. Jason spent about 4 hours of the audiobook trying to take care of that magical proto-zone that could destroy the world. I didn't feel it added anything to the overall story.

This book really didn't need to be written. It felt like everything the author built up in the last 2 books was torn down in this book. While I would still rate the series at 5 stars this book was a big disappointment. The third book in the series was the worst out of the first 3 books and this one is the worst out of the last 3 books.
